SELEX Galileo Inc., the U.S. business development, marketing and product support arm of SELEX Galileo, has an established presence in the American defense market, and continues to contribute its expertise to better support the North America requirements for SELEX Galileo and the Finmeccanica group of companies.
 
Today, SELEX Galileo Inc. counts six field offices, including three logistic and support facilities and a centralized procurement and manufacturing hub in Atlanta, Georgia. SELEX Galileo Inc. is a self sustaining enterprise, which operates and is responsible to its own board of directors.
The Arlington office is the focal point for activity relating to group strategy, Security and Compliance, Contracts, Communications and Marketing. Other functions include marketing support, export licensing and on-shore service & support of SELEX Galileo products in the United States.
 
Notable operations include:
 
  • The 'Atlanta Purchasing' group. The team consists of buyers, support staff, quality control and export administration which handle International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and U.S. Department of State export license applications
  • A facility devoted to Radar & Advanced Targeting systems in Long Island, NY
  • A facility in Huntsville, AL, equipped with 7 clean rooms and 2 Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) labs
  • In addition, SELEX Galileo Inc. manages numerous product support activities related to current U.S. programs. Facility locations include Hurlburt Field, FL, Chicago, IL, Warner Robins, GA, Stennis, MI, and Elizabeth City, NC.
 
U.S. programs include the JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) and Sniper laser programs with Lockheed Martin, the Advanced Targeting Pod and Apache Modernized Laser, the Seaspray Radar contract with the U.S. Coast Guard, the Vixen 500E Radar integration for the US Customs and Border protection, the follow-on support for the All Light Level Television (ALLTV) system in service with Air Force Special Operations, and the extension of a Strategic Alliance in Directional Infrared Counter Measures (DIRCM), with Northrop Grumman.
